Let's plant you a front yard that still looks good in August
Your plan starts with your yard itself: how much sun it gets, where the shade falls and what the soil underneath can hold.
Designed for your sun and shade
Amanda measures your yard in person and places shade plants and full sun plants where each one will thrive, so your beds fill in instead of burning out.
Plants chosen on our own lot
Your shrubs, perennials and annuals come from the Amanda's Villa garden center, often with three or four varieties of the same plant to choose between.
Finished from edge to mulch
Your beds are edged in brick, stone block or steel and topped with fresh mulch, so your yard looks complete the day the crew leaves.
Too many yards don't look like the people who live there
Arkansas summers are long and hot, and clay soil holds water through every spring storm. When a yard is planted without a plan:
Plants end up in the wrong spot
Whatever is blooming goes wherever there's a gap. A shade plant lands in full sun, shrubs crowd the windows within a few years, and by August half the bed is struggling.
Homeowners give up on the yard
After paying to plant the same bed twice, many people stop trying and stop looking at it.
A yard should feel like home
A yard is supposed to look like the people who live there, and that takes a plan drawn for that one yard.

Meet Amanda, the landscape designer who measures every yard herself
Amanda designs every landscaping project at Amanda's Villa. She walks each yard in person, notes the sun, the shade and the soil, and draws a planting plan for that yard alone.
Homeowners bring her a magazine page, a neighbor's yard or a photo on their phone, and she works out how to make that look grow here. When something in the picture won't survive an Arkansas summer, she says so plainly and suggests what will.
Every plant in her plans comes from the Amanda's Villa garden center in White Hall, one of the widest selections of shrubs and trees in the state.

Amanda measures and designs
She walks your yard with you, draws a landscape plan around your sun, shade and soil, and gives you a custom quote before anything goes in the ground.

Her crew plants it
The crew edges the beds, sets the shrubs and flowers and finishes with mulch. Or take the plan and the plants home and do the digging yourself.

Landscape design
A landscape plan drawn for your yard after Amanda measures it in person, built around the sun, shade and soil that are actually there.

Flower bed design and planting
New and redone beds with annuals, perennials and shrubs for the front of the house, each chosen for the light its spot gets.

Flower bed edging
Landscape edging in brick, stone block or steel, so your beds keep their shape and the grass stays out.

Mulch installation and river rock
Fresh mulch or river rock from the lot, spread to finish every bed and help hold moisture through the summer.
A landscaping company serving homes all over Arkansas
Landscaping in Arkansas means planting for long, hot summers and heavy clay soil. Amanda's Villa handles landscape design and landscape installation for homes all over the state of Arkansas, and Amanda measures and draws every plan herself.
The crew plants flower beds, foundation shrubs and shade gardens, edges every bed and finishes it with mulch or river rock from the garden center. When a yard needs a patio, walkway or retaining wall, the hardscape teams build that part, so the stonework and the planting are planned together from the start.
Landscape design questions
Does Amanda really come out herself?
Yes. Amanda measures and designs every landscaping project personally.
What if I already know what I want?
Bring the picture. Amanda will work out how to make it grow here, and she will tell you if anything in it won't survive an Arkansas summer.
Do you plant shade gardens?
Yes. Amanda plans for full sun, part shade and full shade, and every plant is chosen for the light its spot actually gets.
Which shrubs work best for the front of a house?
It depends on how much sun the front of the house gets and how high the windows sit. Amanda chooses shrubs that suit the light and stay in scale with the house, and the garden center usually carries three or four varieties of each to choose between.
Can I plant it myself?
Yes. Amanda can hand over the plan and the plants for anyone who would rather do the digging.
What is the difference between landscaping and hardscaping?
Landscaping is the living part of a yard: plants, flower beds, edging and mulch. Hardscaping is the built part: patios, walkways and retaining walls. Amanda's Villa does both, so the planting and the stonework can be designed together.
Do you landscape sloped or hillside yards?
Yes. On a hillside, the hardscape teams can build retaining walls to level the ground, and Amanda plants the beds they create.
How much does landscaping cost?
Every project is a custom quote. Amanda measures the yard and designs the plan first, then quotes the job before anything goes in the ground.
Are the project photos your own work?
Yes. Every project photo on this page shows a yard landscaped by Amanda's Villa.
How far do you travel?
Amanda's Villa works all over the state of Arkansas.
